Never been a 40 fan, but I like Glock. I carry M&P 9 most days. I don't care for the holster I have for my Glock. You would think I would buy another holster but I keep spending money on guns and ammo. It's a sickness I tell ya, a sickness.

Glock fan here and 9mm is cheaper to shoot and just about as effective. I am a multiple S&W owner. If the Shield was a 9mm, it would be a coin flip for me.

I have 3 Shields (9mm & .45 ACP) vs. a G43.

I don't really care for .40 S&W in a small handgun (or really much at all), so as much as I prefer a Shield, being it's a .40, I'd take the G43.

Iíll admit I had a little buyers remorse when the fella at the pawn shop talked me into getting the shield in .40s&w. I originally asked & intended to get a 9mm. I guess he had more .40ís than 9ís. Since I had an HK in .40s&w I figured the shield would make a good companion. It shoots great but is loud as all get out! My buddy tells me itís about as loud as my GP-100 shooting .357ís. One thing about the shield though is itís great for carrying which Iím sure the G43 will be as well once I get a holster for it.

I would prefer a 9mm over a 40 in a small every day carry gun. Put a set of night sights on it and your good to go.
