So... I took a CFP class, and then I went today to apply for my permit...
Before leaving my home I carefully went over the list of things I need to bring.... passport photo: check, filled out form: check, payment: check (credit card), copy of driver licence... oops, dont have that, so I pop my licence on the scanner and print out a copy... good to go...
So i drive down the the BCI, and tell the lady I'm there to apply for mt CFP.. hand over the credit card, she swipes it, and then says "can I see your drivers license?"..... Yep, it was at home on the scanner! DOH!!!! Cant get fingerprints done without ID, and for some reason, they wouldn't accept my printed out copy of my DL ... OK, so no go, But since she already swiped the card, she had to void it out, which of course takes a week to get the money back to my account!!!! and house payment just posted so I dont have another $85 in the account.... SO, due to my own stupidity, i get to wait another week before I can wait 45-60 days for my CFP.....
Ohio (at least Cuyahoga County/Cleveland) will NOT make copies of anything that you were supposed to make copies of, including your license....
ironically enough, they still take your license and make a copy.

This will make you feel better
Last week I got a rebate check back on a Mitchell fishing reel I bought.
So I separate the receipt from the check. Put the receipt in my wallet to take to the bank and ran the check through the shredder.
That’s right I did it completely backwards.
Hope that helps you
After I took my first permit class in 2003, I put off applying for the permit, I just seemed to need that hundred bucks for something else every week. Then the shall-issue law got overturned! I had to wait until it got re-passed in 2005. Since the training can only be 1 year old when you apply, I had to take the class over again. Lucky for me my instructor was nice enough to let me sit though it again for free.
We've got a gun store in Vegas that gives the class for free all you pay for is the ammo and that's only within the last year. Before that even the ammo was free and you got paper work for Nev, Utha and FL. I don't know how they do it as the classes are always full and run twice a week.
That sounds exactly like something I would do. I think I have gotten so used to my wife reminding me of things that I cant remember anything on my own any more
That blows, fortunately when I went for my UT ccw class it was all inclusive, took the course, the instructors verified that application was properly completed, did the fingerprints and took the pictures and then sent the whole classes applications in as a bulk mailing. Made things so much easier. Cost a little more but you know everything is done right.
