Guy on another forum advertising 10,500 rounds of 22 all as one sale for $1100 firm...He's a hoarder and sees the light at the end of the tunnel...he has only a few "feedback " numbers and it's all about 22 ammo..much of it at $60 and $65 a brick...I know it takes to for a deal and someone has been foolish enough to buy from him ..fortunately no one has bit yet on his latest ads....he might like to keep it till it's about a nickle a round where he probably bought it and then dump it...There is a ton of the hoarded ammo that's going to see the light of day....I'll shoot my pellet gun before I mess with some hoarder....hope he chokes on it...I have 2 bricks and some magnum....that's all I got and that's all I need for now....I can shoot handloaded big bore cheaper than 22 for right now.

Its obviously high, but its not unquestionably high. 60-65 a brick is pretty high. I personally just scale back my shooting until this blows over. Im willing to pay 30 bucks for a brick. and that's only if i like you. If i cant get it for that, then i dont shoot.

+1 opos

that's what I've been doing for quite awhile now. The last time I shot my Convertible Single Six in either .22 LR or .22 Mag was the first of this year...

If you don't like it then don't buy it. Why be mad about it.

Didn't the Clinton magazine ban teach you anything?

You know somewhere there's a wealthy guy with his own backyard range and a bunch of grandkids who like to plink when they come to visit.
He's the kind of person this opportunist is waiting for.

I been watching guys like this sell water to fire and earthquake victims for years...I only stated my personal feelings...I do hope he chokes on it....I won't buy it , of course and most won't and if Grandad wants to splurge on the Grandkids that's his business..I do it all the time....I just have a real problem with folks that register for a forum...don't participate in any way as to the intent of the forum and then.....hit the classifieds with about 5 or 6 greed ads in a row...pick the low hanging fruit and move on...There's a bunch of gun and ammo broker sites on the web where the vultures congregate..Go there to peddle your high "profit" stuff. We all know it's there and can go there if the mood strikes.

That was the big eye opener for me and I've been buying hi-cap mags and ammo ever since.

Even with prices the way they are here, that would cost me under AUD600.

for some people money is not a problem, if they want something they will buy it regardless of cost.

10c a round is expensive to me. For some others with little to no ammo, 10c is a good deal.

I think he would find someone for that price. If he were asking $2k, maybe not.

In today's world I think the price he is asking is reasonable. If he sold it for any less people would just resell it for a profit. Heck even at the price he is asking they could make a profit.

His ammo, his price.....I do a lot of reloading and cannot load any centerfire for 10 cents a round.....my time is worth that, let alone components...I just ordered 700 once fired Military 5.56 brass $80 shipped to me....1lb powder $28 will do 280 rounds, so I will need roughly 2.25 lbs of powder $ 63.....700 primers $25.....700 Bullets $135 Nosler 55 grain BTips ( $50 per 250 bullets )....not counting my time that is 43 cents a round.....$8.60 per 20 rounds, I could load a cheaper powder versus Varget/Benchmark, use Wolf Primers versus CCI and I could use cheap FMJ bullets and get it down to around 30 cents a round, maybe less ?....then I have a bunch of non-accurate cheap ammo VS very accurate 100% reliable ammo....If you can load centerfire pistol for less than .22 ammo you must be making your own Components....

Think you are comparing the tiny little 22 to a center fire high performance rifle cartridge...I got a boatload of 38 special cases that cost zero...range pickups and my (and several friends once fired)...primer is less than a cent even at today's prices...Missouri Cowboy #2 boolits cost a nickle including freight, etc and powder (5 grains = about 1400 rounds per pound and at today's $30 a pound) costs about 3 cents a round...I'm retired and look on loading as a hobby...not as a business so if I were not doing this I'd be sleeping or watching tv....my cost on the 38 specials is about 8-9 cents...9mm, 45 acp and Colt run close... I also shoot a ton of Mosin ammo I bought over the years (yes, milsurp, yes corrosive, yes steel jacket, no not reloadable) my cost on those averages about a dime to fifteen cents...and it's a lot more accurate than I can shoot.
