Just a heads up for everyone, if you have a back order for ammo, double check your order status, get a confirmation back from the vendor.

Vendors cancelling back orders is getting very old and frustrating fast.

Bass Pro and Midway just cancelled some back orders on me, just checked with Cabela's and lo and behold, inspite of a confirmation that my back order would remain open, it's showing as cancelled. I may have recourse since I've got an email stating the order would remain open, however this is very distressing that the vendors are cancelling ammo orders. In Cabelas case, it was without notice.

I'm not the happy camper at this moment, so everyone here, take a look at your order status, take appropiate action, let's see if some good can come of my dissapointment.

Oh yeah, I just replied to my Cabelas "ticket", we'll see what happens.

Well at least the folks you are dealing with are offering back orders! I didn't want my money tied up for an unknown period of time. The two places I have dealt with don't have back orders but keep their website current and accurate. So when I saw what I wanted, I called and it was on its way to me. 500 rounds each of 38 special, 44 magnum, and 45 ACP. I'll probably try to pick up another 500 of 38 special since that's the caliber I have the most guns in. Smithy.
