Just went to the Walmart website and there is no ammo listed on it at all.

I got lucky to find some 9mm at one of the local Wal-Marts on Sunday. I tried one on Saturday, only to find out that they had sold out just shortly before I got there. I went to another one that seems to be much less frequented than the others, and they had about 15 boxes of it, as well as a lot of other ammo. My wife said that she also got some of her best deals at that store on Black Friday. Perhaps I got lucky, or perhaps this will be one of my new favorite shopping spots...

They are switching their order stock system with new brands and UPC codes. From what my local is telling me the ammo is probably going to be marked sold at Walmart only and they are changing. Brands sold. System was to start up mid February.

I hope they add site to store ordering

I have four Walmarts close to me & they all are perpetually out of ammo. I call or go by multiple times a week, almost always with the same result. I did get lucky and find ONE box of Federal .45 Auto last time I went. They also had 6 boxes of WWB .40 S&W there, but my wife said it was gone when she went by the next day. I'm having a little better luck at the local pawn shops, but not much better.

One dealer about forty miles from my house said they buy or have bought local Walmarts out to resell ammo in their store at of course much higher prices. I think this is one reason Walmart has set amounts any one person can buy and the talk of having the ammo they sell with special labeling or packaging in the future.

I work part-time at the local WM and they are getting in some stuff every few days. No .223 since I got my Mini the other day, though. Tonight I saw they had gotten in 9mm, 40, 45, and 762x39. Not a lot of any of it, but at least some.

Most of their ammo comes in with the near daily general merchandise trucks. Ammo usually isn't stocked to the sales floor until morning as it is not something the overnight crew puts out.

For those of you who didn't know this you can click the link that says notify my when its back in stock and you will get an email about shipments that come in and if they contain the ammo. They only allow 3 boxes per customer but its helped me get 9 boxes in the last month.

I did that too...been two months...not a single notification...

But in for 3 products at 6 stores...some I KNOW got them in...never showed up as being in stock...I actually got some mini mags from one...no notification...no product in stock on website...

Not sure why it works for some and not others...but good for those who benefited...
