    Hi!
Thanks for your offer to contact Ruger USA for me, I have sent them a message via the customer service and I´ll wait a while to see if they reply. If I don´t hear from them I´ll take you up on your offer.

Yes, Finland is very nice, I moved here from Sweden in 2006 and I don´t regret it. :)

Spike12-Sorry for the additional message, but I'm not 100% sure how messaging works here. I'm interested in buying a copy of IOWGA's book. I have several SP101s and have been looking for this book for months. Let me know if you know of a way I can buy a copy.
    Thanks!

I saw on Rugerforum.net that you have a copy of IOWEGA's gunsmithing book for my SP101. I've been looking for one for months. Can you let me know how I can buy a copy from you?
    Thanks!

The original M1 was 30-06, of course, and was loaded the same way. I never heard them referred to as 'clips' but rather end-blocks. The M14 as the I think the '03, etc. has that little dove tail cut in to the receiver to accept the end of a 'stripper clip'. Once the clip is inserted, you pushed down on the rounds to fill the existing magazine. They are still available and the M16/M4/etc ammo also comes in those stripper clips and a device to reload the mags are available.

    Does that match your understanding?

    Spike12,

    Ref: Clips vs Magazines

A late variant of the M1 Garand rifle chambered 7.62 NATO ammunition, which came in 8-round clips. The M14 rifle has a guide on the rear of the receiver that allows 8-round clips to be loaded straight into the 20-round detachable box magazine when the bolt was locked to the rear.
