I don't know if you are aware of this, but we have a growing .22lr semi-auto match at Nicks Shooting Range in Garyville. I have been shooting the Bolt class for a while there, and just got into the semi-auto class.

Its a lot of fun and some nice folks shooting there. The matches cost 22 dollars, which includes targets and ammo (as we all have to shoot the same lot number of Wolf)
Every participant in the semi-auto is (as of last weekend) is shooting a 10/22, modified to some degree. some are shooting with bipods, some with sand bags and some shooting on rests. The only rule on rests are no one piece rest.

If you need more info you can call me on my cell 225 206-7023. My name is Roy Zeringue

No, don't belong anymore, and don't shoot benchrest anymore either. Too old to travel

I started bench rest at the old Baton Rouge Pistol and Rifle club before they moved. I didn't go to Donaldsonville with them.

The pic was taken at Palo Alto outside of Donaldsonville. Were you at the October Match?

BuddyG, see you're from the Sportsmans State. I retired in the fall of 88 and started going to Louisiana in the spring of 89. When my wife was alive we spent the next 18 years hanging our hat in Kaplan in the winter. Missed a couple of years when her health was deterioting. After I lost her after 46 years of marriage I started going back. For most of the years we went down ther in Nov. we had anywhere from 2-6 Cajuns with us for deer hunting. Still have a buddy from Pecan Island that comes every year with his wife. He left Sat with a couple of deer in his coolers. My son and I will go to his place the day after Christmass for our annual duck hunting. First of all great people then there is the great food. My 2nd home.

No, never been to Nicks, read about it on Bayou Shooters. I'm in Watson, the frozen north.
