Thanks for the link Art. Noticed the CEO was a submariner. My son commisioned from Annapolis, went to Nuke Power School and served aboard the Key West fast attack sub out of Pearl. It always helps to make a connection when you're requesting assistance from the "Brass".
BTW I worked in the OC before retiring here in Montana. Lots of friends from FV.
    Cheers.

Abarrena, I agree ,my statement was probably shortsighted. I just am very tired of people bashing California. Sorry I did not respond sooner,Hope you had a great Christmas and will have a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Bob

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year back at you.
I try to shoot once a week 80 rds .38 Special and 20 rds 357 Mag.
I shoot the cheapest ammo I can find, but carry .38 Spec + P Hornady Critical Defense.
I believe the .357 Mag that I shoot are standard and they definitely have greater recoil.
20 rds is enough for a trip, but if I needed to I could carry .357 mag.
I'm 71 yrs and in decent shape. I do curls with 10 lb weights each morning and it helps.
I'm a chubby 5'6" so I'm sure you would have no trouble 2 handed.
I can shoot .357 Mag one handed with my strong arm, but it is not fun.
I wouldn't try with my weak hand -- it might fly out of my hand.
    I love my LCR-357.
It's my constant companion and feel very comfortable carrying .38 Spcial +P

    Hey Abarrena!!

Hello and Merry Christmas from Illinois sir!

How is the LCR 357 on full house 357 loads for recoil? I am 53 years young and not the stoutest guy on the block 6' and 210 lbs. and am really looking hard at the LCR 357.

    Thank You sir!!

    Greetings -

You responded that your "Mormons in Afghanistan" comment was a joke. I missed the joke part, then Googled for "mormon" AND "Afghanistan", but found nothing that struck my funny bone.

Did you have a link in your original comment that didn't show in my Firefox browser?

    Ciao

You gave me great advice on my thread about where to retire, so I thought you should know that I made my decision. Last weekend I bought some acreage in east-central AZ on the NM border. It's at 6,000+ ft. elevation so the summers will be cooler than PHX, etc. and they kinda get 4 seasons, so I'll be OK. The wildlife, fishing and views are spectacular and there are actually SKI RESORTS near my place!!!

Anyway, it ain't KY, but I think I'll be happy there. My daughter will probably end up in FL, so I can always visit for a few weeks or months a year.

Take care an if you ever take a road trip east, I'll be around in a few years and you'll have a place to stop and rest on the way.

You commented on this awhile back: http://rugerforum.net/minefield/106013-isis-militants-capture-up-20-iraq-obama-intervene-7.html#post1435828

My take: The only difference between Bush asking Congress to approve his War Powers for the War in Iraq and Afghanistan and him asking Congress to declare War is a constitutional one. The declaration of war would be constitutional and Congress would have to take the full responsibility for said declaration. With the vote on War Powers, Congress can still shirk the responsibility and leave it all on GWB's plate. I believe it was intended that Congress would have to go on record and have to bear the burden of a Declaration of War. The President, being the Commander in Chief, is the forced to take command of all of America's military forces and direct the fighting said war to its ultimate conclusion.

    JMHO

I very much value your opinion of this concept.
