Sorry I have not replied sooner! I was looking for a good scope with mil-dot and illuminated ret. in high power for long range varmint and target practice. I ran into a company at a gun show called Bat tactical who had a very large selection of scopes. As I had a Nikon Monarch that I was not happy with I was looking at Burris an Leupold. The owner recommended the Hawke and said he would refund me if I was not happy and put it in writing. I do not have one on a heavy recoiler yet but I am very happy with the optics and repeatability, movements are accurate and the Mil-dot seems to be very close. Only time will tell how well they hold up but so far I am very happy with them.

Thank you for the reply in the "Educate me about scope mounts" thread. I was happy to see that you mentioned having four Hawke scopes and like them. I bought the Hawke because the Falcon scope that I wanted was not readily available.

It has been so long since I have dealt with scopes that I am anxious to see if I bought the right scope for me and my rifle.

I have ordered a set of taller Weaver scope rings so I'll be able to post a follow-up picture in the thread when my rifle arrives back from Ruger in a week or so.

    Scott
