Ruger #1 in 25/06 Heavy?

Did Ruger ever chamber the #1 in 25/06 with a heavy barrel? Or could you point me to a site that would have #1 history and cals.

They chambered them for a long time. Was one of the original 1V calibers along with 22-250, 7mm Mag and 300 Win Mag. The earliest came with target blocks only. Google untertl scopes if you don't know what I am referring to. By the mid 70's, they were tapped for Ruger bases also. They probably made thousands and are frequently on the auction sites. I bought a #1 Varminter in .25-'06 from my neighbor a few years back.
The Rifle came with a Cabela's 4X-12X glass which is entirely satisfactory.
Shot some Maryland "beanfield" deer at close to 300 yds. with the combo.

Yes, they are made, and like rugerjunky said you have a 1V. They are outstanding rifles and very beautiful. I have one just like that.

I've got the 1-V 25-06 also. If you're looking for one, be patient...even with #1's scarce these days, odds are that you'll eventually find one out there at a reasonable price.
