No. 1 International Front Sight Removal

Noob Alert!!!

Ok, you've been warned. I just bought this No. 1 International in .30-06 and am planning on adding a peep sight from skinnersights.com. It's likely that I'll need a different height front sight. How do I go about removing the blade to install another?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong:
At the rear of the sight you'll see a very small plunger. This is holding the sight in place. I believe depressing this and sliding the sight toward the muzzle will remove it.

Thank you for resonding. I finally noticed that but haven't yet found the right tool for the job - it's around here somewhere.

Don't be surprised if it takes more effort to remove it than you were expecting. I had to use a punch and hammer to drive the front sight off my .375 H&H when I replaced it. There were enough bluing salts left between the sight blade and the sight base to make removal extremely difficult. Once removed I scrubbed the slot thoroughly with a toothbrush and some Break-Free to remove the remaining bluing salts. The replacement sight went into place without any undue force required.
