I am thinking of getting a #1 in 30-30, and would like to hear from other members who have one. Most likely, I will be shooting cast bullets in it for fun.
Further, how much are they going for in your area??? Thanks in advance for your input...

I got mine off gunbroker for 849.00 and really like it alot. It is a mild recoiling rifle in a classic caliber that will do just about all most folks need to do! You wont be dissapointed.

Thanks for the encouragement Mr. Flattop41. I had a stainless Marlin 30-30, and it served me well, till I swapped it in on a Ruger. Now I have about a 150 rounds of brass, dies, and about 400 rounds of cast lead bullets with gas checks, and with the price of components, it seems such a waste.

I have also noticed many of the dealers are selling this caliber at a reduced cost. Consequently, they must not be selling very good. I do not see Ruger making another batch of these anytime soon.
