| I finally Bought a #1
After wishing and admiring #1's for over 35 years (since I saw one in a 1974 Gun Digest) I finally bought one last week.
I had priced a #1-A at the local gun dealer and he quoted me fair price (over $200 under MSRP), but I held off not sure if I wanted at 22" barrel. Then last week I gun an April E-mail flyer from Davidson's and they listed a #1-B for several hundred less than that. They only had them in 30-06 and .270 and less than 10 each.
So I called my local gun dealer and had him order one for me. It came in last Friday, and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Saturday I mounted my best scope from my hunting rifle and zeroed it in and I love it.
I checked Davidson's flyer this evening and they are all gone.

Congrats. You will not regret your purchase. I love # 1s. I have 4 of them and they are all great rifles. You can't have too many. Get ready, you'll most likely have to have another in your future.
