I was at the 1000 yard TV shoot Mr Duck spoke of. I took my Pedersoli 45-70 and was allowed to shoot the 500 yard target for non-scoped rifles. I guessed and, even though I doped a stiff crosswind correctly, I fell five feet low. The Duck did not make the shoot this year, but we both have a year to practice. A friend owns the range and I can use it "24-7". I am too old to shoot all night but will practice some. The 1000 yard target was only hit once, by a 13 year old young man, the crowd clapped when he hit it.

Greetings,

The 6.5 Creedmoor was designed as a 1,000 yard target cartridge. I suggest
you give that round serious consideration for next year.
