I have always wanted a .264 but I never bought one because of the issue with having to deep seating bullets in a bolt gun...
Look at my edited post, Ruger told me 1x9, why I had 1x8 typo I don't know. I
would rather have a 1x8, but the 140 will work if pushed with a 264WM and bigger.
It has a short throat, which really ticked me off, esp. in a single shot where you can maximize performance with a long throat. The good news is the throat can be made any length you want at an ecomical price. I will do that if I decide to use the 140 Berger. But nothing is lost using this throat with the lighter bullets & it looks like I will get the 120BT in the 3450-3500fps range & now that the bullet is tougher it is bad news. I am shooting .75moa range now & it is not really broken-in yet. This is poison out to 6-700 yds. for Deer & I did not buy the rifle for ultra long range, I have a Sendero 300 for that, but I wanted a rifle with the flattest traj. possible out to 500yds & go a little further under the right conditions.
I think I am there.
