I would appreciate it if you would stop posting pictures of your Ruger No. 1 collection. I keep getting drool all over my keyboard.

Nice. I have 3 Redfield 3200s; they're great old scopes.

.300 wm and 45/70

.300 has Vortex 6x18 illuminated dot scope
45/70 has Leupold 1x5 illuminated dot scout scope

Lots of eye relief on both.

Here is my current No. 1. It is a conversion from a 1A in 222 Rem to a (sort of) 1V in 222 Rem. It has a Shilen varmint barrel and a Jard 1.75 lb. trigger. It regularly shoots 1/2" or better at 100 yards and recently gave me a 5-shot 1/3" group at 100 yards. Now I will be load testing at 200 yards to see what it does at that range:

Here is my former 1V in 220 Swift. I am still trying to remember why I sold that rifle :

PS It is sad, but I guess that to some, a rifle is a tool, even a No. 1 <shriek>. Seeing those pictures makes me feel like Bluto did when they "hurt" the beer upon removal from Delta House in "Animal House".

Question Ruger # 1 .308

Picked up a used #1 from a guy at work. Not a mark on it and only been shot 40-50 rnds. it came with the box & papers. I paid $850.00 for it. Good, bad, or average deal?
