My latest acquisition.

Just bought this No.1B in 30-06 made in 1984 at a local pawn shop, not often you find them in pawn shops. They said a buddy of their's won it on a raffle - lucky fellow, but I'm glad I ran across it.

I bought one at a local mom & pop general store that was going out of business, the owners son who had inherited it had lost interest. They had one of the best sporting goods departments in the area, and I knew the manager quite well. The were deep discounting the firearms to close them out, and called over and had him hold the remaining 1b in 30-06 until I could get over there. The wood looks much like that in your picture.

Congratulations! I wish my 1B looked that nice, but it makes up for it by being very accurate! I decided if I were going to keep shooting it, the red pad had to be replaced with a good recoil pad. I got it back Friday, looking forward to shooting it with less pain. I did save the red pad, forgot who gave me the tip on how to do it, but I thank him!
FM
PS the 1S in 45-70 got the same treatment about three weeks ago! Now if it will stop raining long enough....
