A Call For Ruger No.1 .22 LR

Why not?

Miracles happen.

I recall my letter to William Ruger decades ago;calling for a five shot revolver.Received a nice reply,a Ruger cap and decal........and was able to eventually purchase one of the first SP101.

And Lipsey's 44 Special Flattop.

Faced with whispers of Number One factory demise,we see hints and glimmers,No.1 special runs. A certain predictive capability.

Now is the time, finally, for the production of Ruger No1 in .22 LR.
I would imagine ideally via the International platform.

Relatively heavy and expensive........many will make space in the gun cabinet and hand over the $$$$$$

I would have loved to have discussed No.1/22 LR with Mr. Ruger way back when.

I would deffinately be interested in owning one. I have started several times to try and find a rough no.1 in a different caliber and have one built. I discussed it with a gunsmith friend of mine in the Ozarks, and he said that he could do the work for me. I still have not completely dismissed the idea. My question is why not. I've got several .22lr that cost as much as my no. 1's.

a No. 1 in .22 LR just doesn't grab me. Now, one in .22 Mag gets my attention!

How about a 3/4 scale model, and rotate to a different rimfire cartridge each year? Lets make it a takedown half octagon barrel while we're dreaming. Call it the #2.

not the same but get one of the adapters that will fire 22 lr in 223 etc. They work like a champ in a single shot.

Love the No.1s, wouldn't discourage any caliber but just not interested in a Rimfire in it.

i hope they come out with one in .22LR but in a different year than the 8x57 I'm dreaming of, that way I can buy both without breaking the bank..... and then the next year .22 Mag.... or .17 HMR in another year....

I'd buy one in 22 LR or other rimfire. Currently considering the Winchester 1885 rimfire, but would MUCH rather stay Ruger and buy American.
