It looks like you've got a bad case of Rugeritis Lonnie. There is no cure. I hope you are married to a very understanding woman. Remind her about the "in sickness and in health" part of the wedding vows. Tell her your addiction to Ruger single-shot rifles is definitely a sickness! Your rifles are beautiful. I love the figure in stock on your new one.

Very nice set of #1s. I'm jealous. Rugeritis indeed. Too funny.

Happy birthday, and remind her you are INVESTING and not wasting money on shoes, food, utilities, and all that sort of stuff where there is no return on your investment.

That's what caught my eye when I first saw it. I've bought more than one gun from this guy, so I asked him about the rifling and he told me that it was very nearly perfect. Hearing that, and seeing the figure, I had to have it!

Between work and the weather I have yet to shoot any of these beauties yet. I've been tempted to run out to my backyard, put a round in the chamber, shoot it straight into the ground, and then run back in before anyone is the wiser....

What calibers are they, aside from the new one being .223?
Reading on these pages, it appears that the heavy barreled varmint configuration is not as popular/valuable as the lighter guns. I think the heavy barrel and forend look great with the single shot action. Seems more like a target or buffalo hunter look. Unfortunately, too bad the No. 1 is not the consistent tack driver as a bolt rifle. I once had a .220 swift varmint No. 1 with a Burris Signature target scope. Another "why did I trade that" story!
