No #1 in 2017 catalog

well, there's no mention of the Ruger #1 in the 2017 that I saw. Even being a Lipsey's thing last yr, they still acknowledged the line. Still...they (Ruger) says it's not dead. have to wait and hear from SHOT.

I have four young children. A #1 just isn't in the budget right now. It sure would be nice to buy my #1 in a few years when things stabilize. I hope its still around.

I am finding that if you are not against buying a used gun there are many options available. One thing though, the move common calibers carry the higher price. After picking up a No. 1 in .280 and 6mm, I'm now looking at one in 45-70.

There are older Number 1s everywhere. I have 5 red pads myself, that have nicer wood than anything that can be bought new now and are in just as good of shape as a new one. Yet am having trouble selling them with more than fair prices..............Seems everybody says they want a Number 1, but seem to want them for nothing

Here are some late model #1's with pretty good wood. You can get some pretty plain lumber too though.

That $1800 is msrp, not real world street price. $1000ish is more real depending on your dealer.

I did get the news today from Ruger...the #1 is no longer in production.

I understand the msrp, just shaking my head at prices down/up. So, the Number One is gone----again??????? Are they going to make it official, like at the SHOT show or something?
