Why is it so hard?

I've been trying to find a listing of the No. 1's that shows what calibers were released each year, and I'm coming up empty. Why is it so hard to find this information? I mean, it's not like we are talking national security here!

Any of you have a direction that you can point me to?

Lonnie, that sounds like manufacturing information and I guess you would have to call each one and see if they would tell you. I thought you where asking about ammo caliber sold. That one is easy .22LR and 9mm.

Oh, no. I just want to know what calibers the No. 1 was chambered in each year. Such as, in 1983, what calibers did Ruger market the No. 1 rifle in.

Then you need to get the reprint of Joe Clayton's No. 1 book

the only place I've ever seen this information is in the Clayton book on the No. 1
He had all the years up to around 1984 (when the book was originally published) and all the catalogued and uncatalogued variations and calibers.
Other than that, you'd need to get ahold of each year's printed catalog.
