Today was a good and bad day. Wife got some good news, I happen to come across a Ruger No. 1 RSI in 308 win that was on a website. I had to help the wife with her meds and then call the gun shop to inquire about the rifle, He told me he had just put it on line and 10 minutes later he sold it. While doing some searching on line I found 2 RSI in 308, but the asking price is way too high. So I will keep looking.

Well after a lot of looking for my NO-1 in 308 win, I now have one in my hands. This is a sweet rifle. Mounted a Burris 2-7x30mm scope on it for now, but will purchase a Leupold VX-1 3-9X50mm shortly. I will be taking out to dance tomorrow and put her though her paces. I am a happy old guy. Will see what I want I want to do with her after the honeymoon is over. (LOL) A Healthy and Happy New Year to all !!

Hopefully your wife will do well and you can enjoy the promise of a new year and many more with her by your side.

Really nice that you got the right gun for your retirement gift to you.

And I had to say that Metlhd57's quote made me laugh. I can relate.

All turned out to be a good news post.

Congrats .... On the retirement and rifle ...

Thanks all, She shot really well for the first time out. I can't wait to I get her new scope on her. She just feel's right when I was shooting her. My club is going to rebuild the 300 yard range. Will try her out when the new scope is mounted. The trigger is really nice and I can't be more happier with it.
