I am stunned. I did a search on every site where I usually look for rifle sales and did not find a single one. All I can suggest is find a Ruger No. 1 for sale in some other 30 (such as 30-06) and have it re-chambered to 308.
Regan Nonneman has a business doing exactly that. He can re-chamber a barrel or completely replace the barrel. I had him convert a Ruger No. 1A in 222 Rem. to a Ruger No. 1V in 222 Rem, by replacing my barrel and forearm. The total cost to me was $475. I would expect a re-chambering to cost a lot less. Here is a link to him: Ruger No. 1
If you can afford it, I suggest a complete new barrel. The great thing about Ruger No. 1 rifles is the action is the same, with only the barrel, scope mounts and forearm being the difference between one model and the next. Now I am thinking of sending mine back to be re-chambered to 22 PPC. Why? If you have to ask...
