Morning y'all.... I figured I'd replace the main spring and trigger spring with lighter Wolff Springs on a 45 LC 7.5" New Model Blackhawk (the Ruger springs are way too heavy). I did this before on a SBH Bisley Hunter and know full well what I am in for. The only problem is, the grip frame won't pull away from the main body of the revolver. Yes I have all the screws out of the frame (3 on the Bisley) removed, cylinder is out and the main spring is pinned. She's hardly budging. Anyone run into this kind of stubbornness before?
3 screws removed...ok good now what about the other 2? The cyliner frames are the same regardless of if it's a Bisley or non-Bisley in the BH and SBH line so there's still the 2 screws in the upper ears below the hammer.
my bad, for some reason I missed those two. I got it done. New springs are awesome.
