Shopkeeper MAGNUM!

Yup. I haz one.

This thing started out as a PITA. Sticky shells, sent back to Ruger only to get a timing issue and an extraction issue.

Alan Harton from Single Action Service did it right. He fixed the front sight, rechambered it to .22 Magnum, gave it a nice trigger job and a few other cosmetic things.

Just got her in the mail today. Will fire it this weekend.

VERY NICE! Congrat's! That's a nice-looking .22 mag pistol you have there!

A number of years ago Ruger was talking about bringing the Bearcat out in 22 Mag. Don't know what happened to the project. I was holding out for one and still waiting! What you have is a classic. I don't know if I would shot it or not. That's what I would refer to as Gun Porn!

I did take her out last weekend. Shoots perfectly with 40 grain CCI. Right on target and shells extract nicely.

I only fired 18 shots because .22 Magnum is still hard to find around here. I found some on Cheaper Than Dirt for $50 for a box of 50. Maybe they should be called More Expensive than Gold.

Gotta admit that is one of the reasons that I decided not to convert mine to 22 mag. Maybe a second cylinder sometime down the road ...

Got my Simply Rugged holster in the mail. It's great for IWB, strong side or crossdraw. Should be a great woods gun.

Shopkeeper Magnum

How much did the conversion cost? Have the same problems with my new Shopkeeper. Had the same problems with a regular ss Bearcat. Sent that one back and Ruger fixed it up perfect.
