Single Six convertable price/value?

I came across a used SS 6" New Model Single Six Convertible that appears to be in like new condition. It's on consignment at a LGS for $425. I don't believe there would be tax added to the price being that the LGS does not own the gun.
I'm a little tight on moneys right now but if that is a great, "don't let that one get away" price, I'd dig a little deeper into the piggy bank!

I like to use Bud's gun shop as a reference. For one, even if they are out of stock, you can check the last price for items ($413) for a blued Single Six convertible, and secondly, I drive pretty close to their store every time I visit my parents or in-laws (haven't gone to Bud's yet), so if I really want something and it is overpriced, I know where to get it.

Hey Dawgface, for your comparison purposes, I purchased my New Model Convertible Single Six, blued, 9 1/2" barrel, from my LGS in March 2012 for $419. At the time Ruger's MRSP was $559. Hope this is of some help to you!

I bought my stainless Single Six 5.5" convertible, and my stainless Single Ten 5.5" both last year for $495 each. You gotta really monkey up a SS/ST to mess them up. I wouldnt hesitate to buy a used one, that looks new. I think $425 is a good price.

I think new ones in SS are like $519 at my LGS. If the one your looking at is nice, I'd snag it. I have the .17 HMR single six along with 2 other blued convertibles. Love the looks and love the guns.

Thanks again all.......I went back to the LGS today to make a $400 offer...it was SOLD/GONE..thank goodness, got me off the hook!
