Enjoy!! I also have a Single Six convertible that was my fathers. He bought it in 1968 and it shoots today like it was made yesterday. I plan on handing it down to my kids. They are great guns. (P.S. His price in 1968 was $67.00 LOL)

I know the feeling. A Single-Six was the third gun I ever owned, after a Speed-Six and a Mark I. My biggest regret is not having a Bearcat until 33 years later.

That's a great looking Single Six and I still think the old models are the best ones. The unconverted actions are silky smooth and there is no novel on the side of the barrel.

That is a nice piece. I love my single six even though its a new model and doesn't have the flat gate like yours.

I sold my flat gate to a friend in 1963, have the next version from 64. Yes, wish I had the old flat gate, but am pleased with the version I have. Once rear sight was set for windage close to 50 years ago, never hav had to worry about adjusting the sights. Great old Ruger.
