Welcome to the forum. This is a photo thread so you may get better results in another thread but to answer your question, yes - there are many 3.75" heavy frame Vaqueros out there with both birdshead and plowhandle grip frames. If I want to see one I just take out mine....
Here's mine, the plowhandle has the ACP/long colt cylinder, the birdshead only has the 45 colt cylinder. I've not done much except the grips and wolf spring kits, but am thinking of an ACP cylinder for the birdshead and maybe SBH hammers. Gonna take my time, the planning is almost as much fun as the finished product.
Sack Peterson says they are elk stag,I got them this Saturday directly from him so that was enough authentification for me. The plowhandle grips are from another maker and are sambar stag
Took a while to find one. Havent shot it yet. Will put a SBH hammer in and either get the grips checkered or buy the rosewood checkered Eagle grips for it. Does anyone know if wolff makes a stronger base pin latch spring for these? Also, has anyone bought a Belt Mountain base pin for one of these original Vaquero 3.75" birdsheads?
Nice find, mutto. Congratulations on your new birdshead and welcome to the "official" RFBOC.
