Thanks. Well, a couple years ago I bought a starter kit and wanted to get into bike seats. That flopped. Earlier this year I bought my first pistol and was looking for a holster. It was a fairly new model pistol and not many holsters were on the market, so one of my buddies suggested I just make one since I had the tools. So, that's how it started. I made me a holster and my buddy liked it so he asked me to make him a left handed holster for his. After that it just started to take off.

You do nice work. Are you going to start a webpage for people interested in a holster or rig?

Also are you going to compete in fast draw? I wopuld like to see the rig you make for it.

Thanks for the compliment. I haven't looked into starting a web page. Not sure if I'm ready for that just yet.

I do plan on competing in Cowboy Fast Draw. The local club Bar T Gunfighters has a shoot this weekend and I'm looking forward to getting involved.
When the rig is done I'll definitely post some pics.

Congratulations on your new gun. And, on making your own rig. Always best to make your own. That way you can get all the little touchs like cant, exact belt size, lining type, depth of bullets, color, edge finish and such.

I'm here in California so I know how stupit it feels to watch them put your new gun in "detention" for 10 days.

I doubt many criminals go to buy a single action revolver for their crime spree.

Enjoy the new gun... when you finally get it!

I've been thinking about buying the same gun.

I was thinking I wanted a 1911, but recently got my first single action (a Ruger Single Ten) and I really like the cowboy feel of it.

Thanks JaxRider. Man, I tell ya, it is rediculous watching them do that. So many things wrong with the 10 day waiting period.
And, believe me, you do still want a 1911. I picked up mine earlier this year and love it.

Thanks Chief. Yeah, I can't wait to start on the rig this coming weekend. By then I'll know all the details. I've got an awesome template from Slick Bald Customs for a Cowboy Fast Draw holster. I just need to make my final decisions on dye color, thread color, hardware, and stamping design. I'm thinking black on black or black with natural stitching with some nickel hardware.

10-day wait is finally up and this bad boy is mine! Now it's time to get some ivory grips and start the new rig.
