Single Six Question

Good Day All

I just picked up my NM single six today and noticed that when you cock it there is still some rotational play in the cylinder is this normal?
Both cylinders do this but the LR cylinder has just a smidge more play than the Mag cylinder.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take Care

There will be slight rotational play on a cocked revolver. The main measurement is when you have pulled the trigger, and keep the trigger pulled back. Then there should be no more than a very tiny amount of rotational play. This is the position all of the gun's parts are in when the cartridge fires.

Yes, a little rotational play when cocked in a Single Six and Ruger revolvers, in general, is completely normal, so just shoot and enjoy. Some are tighter than others, but, even when cocked, you'll typically notice a little. Not a big deal.

Hello Ladies and Gents

This is what I wanted to hear, I kinda figured as much but my Pietta 1873 SA in 45colt has next to no play what so ever when cocked, I guess I was comparing apples to oranges.
Thanks again for the fast response.

Take Care
