Has anyone seen this yet? Ruger's new Single-nine Ruger® Single-Nine™ Single-Action Revolver Models
I don't currently own any .22's or revolvers, but this one sounds pretty cool. I've planned on getting both a 22 pistol and rifle, but this one takes 22WMRF rounds. I haven't checked the price, but I think those would be more fun to shoot.

Seems a little pointless, with the convertible Single-Six more versatile for the same price? And that uggally fiber sight.........useful for some, but looks very wrong on a SA revolver........... |

I haven't checked the price, but I think those would be more fun to shoot. | I think the .22 Magnum is a highly underrated round. If you look at a standard .22LR, you'll get 1100, maybe up to 1400 FPS out of it. The .22 Mag will easily get you 2100, 2200 FPS. It would be a great varmint gun (assuming you don't want to eat what you shoot because the .22 Mag will probably destroy most small game). I think it's a great-looking pistol, perfectly reminiscent of the standard Single Ten.
I can't say there was a direct need for that particular pistol, and in my opinion would rather have seen a convertible model that would shoot both .22 Mag and .22LR, but I guess they didn't want to phase out the Single Ten.
Either way it's a nice-looking revolver and looks like retail prices will fall in line with the competition. But this one's a Ruger and comes standard with Williams Fire Sights which is a significant upgrade to the standard adjustable or fixed sights of other pistols in this range.
I'll be interested to read the first reports on this guy.

I was just reading about the new Ruger single 9, too. I have the single 10 and like it a lot but there are things about it that I don't like. I don't like that the cylinder doesn't swing out so you can load and unload all ten at a time, instead of one at a time by turning the cylinder. It's more time consuming to load and unload when the cylinder doesn't swing out but it's a beautiful gun and a lot of fun to shoot. You can adjust the sights to make it very accurate and shoot all day and not spend a fortune.

You need a modern DA to do that.

If they work like the K frame S&W 10 shot .22Lr which is able to use the original 6 shot cylinder, the 10 shot .22Lr cylinder should also fit & function, if you can find one.
