They are avaiable in both barrel lengths and in .44 Special or .45 Colt/.45acp convertible. In fact there is an article about the Lipsey .45's in the Sept/Oct
edition of American Handgunner.

Thanks but I only see the 4&5/8" in stainless and I'm looking for a 5.5" stainless .44spl. I'm wondering if they ever made them ?

You may want to give Lipseys a call..they could tell you and maybe you could find one on of the auction sites. Worst case you could always buy the short barrel version ehen or if they become available again and buy a stainless .44 barrel or have someone like Bowen make you one.
Remember these may be Lipsey cataloged item but you might or might not see them on Rugers website. Here is the link to Lipseys. Lipsey's Firearms Finder - Ruger - Blackhawk Series - Blackhawk Flattop - Revolver - Single Action -
might also think about the .45 convertible version while they are still available. Took me almost three months to get my Lipseys .44 Special Flattop Bisley so keep looking!

I believe the stainless flattops were a TALO thing and not just limited to Lipsey's. I recall asking Bob @ TALO about them and inquiring about a 5 1/2" model. At that time I did a bit of checking to see how much interest there was in such a model. There wasn't a lot in what I was getting for feedback and guessing the same to be true from what he was seeing. Thus, afaik, they didn't go after them. Easy enough for a good gunsmith to change parts and make one for you if it's a must have.
