.44spl Flat top vs Bisley

I currently have a Blackhawk .44spl flat top in a 5.5" barrel and another in 4.62" barrel. I love them both! I was considering trading in the 5.5" and purchasing the .44spl Vaquero Bisley (model #5236 on the Ruger web site). I am looking for some feed back from you guys on the Bisley vs. the Blackhawk flat tops that I already have. I know the grip, trigger, and hammer are different on the Bisley and I kind of like the grips on the Bisley. Should I go for the Bisley? Thanks for the input guys.

At .44Spec velocities it is a personal preference thing. I've got both, but prefer the o' plow handle.... But I can see where with true 'magnum' loads the Bisley would be better to use.... Some people love the Bisley, others hate it.... Your call!

It's a personal preference. Some love the plowhandle, but I love the Bisley grip. I own two in .44 mag and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I would try out a Bisley grip first to see if you like it before buying.

I have a Lipsey Bisley 44 spl. with the 5-1/2" barrel. As they say some like a Bisley and some dont. I have smaller hands and it works good for me. Try and find somebody who has one, and check it out. I have several plow handle Blackhawks and 2 Single Six. I shoot my Vaquro Bisley and Flat top Bisley the most. Just seems a better fit.

Absolutely! I must admit that I'm biased, I like the way the Bisley feels in my hand and I really think they are classy looking. The more I shoot it, the more I like it.
