I've a special edition .44 Special bright stainless New Vaquero that's a fabulous shooter, that I grabbed last year. From across the room, with the black grips, you could not tell it from an authentic early nickel Colt SAA. Plenty of front sight was put on it to allow for filing to your desired load. You'll love yours.

I recently got a Ruger Vaquero 357 mag with the case hardnening finish and black checkered grips in a 5 1/2". I was debating whether to go with the 45's but I chose this so I could shoot 38's. Great feel in my hand and so smooth. I thought about getting another same model but found out Ruger stopped making these and they are blued finish or stainless only now. I know you'll enjoy the cowboy action feel of your new gun.

I'm trying to hold out for a 357/9mm convertible model. Hopefully Ruger will act on the survey I completed recently. I may not be able to wait though. Let us know how it shoots!
