Bearcat, if it takes your fancy get one.
Personally, I'm more of a single six guy, will probably end up with the
convertible in SS.

I've always heard good things about them, especially being compact pack guns, the only thing that kept me away was that engraving on the cylinder, guess I like plain stuff

It looks nice and compact, thinking about it for a woods gun, not necesarily for serious hunting. I like the size.

I bought a stainless bearcat earlier this year, and I love it! It would be among the last of my firearms that I would part with.

Had one back in the 60's, lost it/sold it years ago, loved it, great little hiking/camp gun and really fun for the wife and kids to get into shooting. I recently picked up the 50th anniversry model and am having a lot of fun with the kids and grandkids. I agree with West Texan - probably wouldn't part with it - goes to the range with me everytime.

The BearCat is one of those guns that, once you have one,you wonder why you waited so long to get it.
I have never heard of a person who said that they did not like the BearCat they bought.

Old,new, blue, stainless, which ever you get,you will like.

Just ordered a new blued version. Hopefully it will be a 'woodsman special". Now, if I can just get El Paso Saddlery to build me a Tom Threepersons in a hurry.....

Have you handled both? The Bearcat seemed tiny to me when I held one. Just my .02. I would go for a Single-Ten if I were going for SA .22....

Yep, I had a Single Six for years.....to be honest I didn't love it. I want the Bearcat to carry under my coat when chasing beagles, etc.

I was hot to trot on a stainless bearcat and now Ruger is bringing back the SP101 in 22LR with 8 shots and messed me all up. I prefer satinless in handguns for a number of reasons but primarily I like the way they clean up. Good luck and post pics when you get it.
