What are your favorites? I'm looking for one to carry my 4 5/8" .44 SP Blackhawk. "Secure" is more important than "Conceal", I will be wearing this under a wool coat in the bush.
Just bought a Bianchi X15 number 4, for my new Single Six S/S. Their web site has a great chart for matching your pistol to the right holster, with lots of applications too. Plenty of sites selling them at a discount. Eric
There are only two I would suggest, the very best available will have a weight time but the Barranti is the holster all others are judged by.
and the Simply Rugged is top quality and more adjustable and can be altered to any holster you currently own, with the $15.00 conversion kit,
both can be turned to conceal more under the arm or worn without the wast strap and the Barranti without the body strap in a bandolier fashion Buy both, I did.
The holster is made by Clark. It's a "Dirty Harry" style holster made for the Ruger Blackhawks. It's the first I've seen for the Rugers. Most are for double actions. I made the harness copying the original.
I bought one of the Guides Choice for my 4" 629 and I REALLY like it. Very good quality and comfortable. I like the option of wearing it either inside a jacket/coat with the coat just partially zipped or outside a heavy coat. I just wish I had added the reload holder to my order.
