I looked on rugers site for dates by ser# but don't see anything so either its not there or I just can't see it
By the way i think these are a thing of beauty, but then again I pretty much like most revolvers

thanks

I would just say this if you have found a nice Ruger Blackhawk .327 FM don't let it go by if its a nice one. I have read quite a bit of problems with the Ruger Single Seven .327FM loading gates and other related issues. I have a 2008 Ruger SP101 .327FM 3 inch barrel and its been good but I bought it used but NIB condition because it had not been fired so basically new. The .327FM in lighter weight guns can have quite the recoil mostly associated with the SP101 line. I also pretty much like all revolvers as well!!!

I would like the answer to that also. I bought mine about 2009, and love it. But I have NEVER seen one for sale. So I dont believe there was alot of them made.

We have (2) large LGS's. The one is a major Ruger dealer. And they got (1) Blackhawk. And I have it.

The really good part,, I was just about the only guy buying 327 ammo for several years,, so it was always available and the price stayed $22 per box for American Eagle 100 & 85 grain. So I got stocked up rather well.

They did however, get in several SP 101 in 4.2 inch. I also bought one of them, and the ammo price went to almost $30 for a while and they sold off alot of their stock. But I DIDNT need any.

Smokey Joe will become famous soon enough
Don't know how many they made in .327 FM. Bought my off Gunbroker 3 years ago and fell in love with it. Then bought the SP 101 in 3 in. then the Single 7 early last year. Paid a lot for Blackhawk but it was the first one I'd seen for sale in about a year. Since then I see the Blackhawks on GB from time to time. I usually watch to see what they go for. Every one I see is used but look like new condition. I've seen them go off as cheap as $660 and as high as $1200. Most are in the $850 range.

I think there was only one run of the Blackhawks made. I don't have any idea of the number, but distributors had them in stock for a couple of years. There wasn't enough of them made for them to get ser# of their own.

Ruger, in 2013 released a very few clean up guns with a blued cylinder and ejector housing that had it's own model number. I've heard it said 63 of the "two tone" guns were made.
