Price fluctuations

Late last year I bought my blued Bearcat Shopkeeper for a little over $500 (best online pricing I could find). I was recently looking at stainless Bearcat Shopkeeper pricing and I noticed that my blued version is now selling for roughly $75 less (same dealer). I don't regret buying it when I did but I'm wondering if this happens frequently? I haven't seen that big of a price fluctuation before but I've been buying firearms for only a couple years.

Pre- and post-election prices is what I am guessing. Sales are down and dealers are trying to move inventory.

Exactly. Obama was the greatest thing to ever happen to the gun industry. Trump may prove to be the greatest thing to ever happen to gun consumers.

It is called "supply and demand". When Obama was in office the supply could not keep up with the demand and higher prices resulted because they would still sell at the higher price. Now with Trump and pro gun majority in Congress, demand will drop very low after the scare buying and prices will be lowered in order to sell the product.
Next year you should see even lower prices.

Im holding out for a new GP100 44spl 5". Its new, but will come down in a bit. Not sure whats up at S&W, but they're giving away the shields with the $75 rebate. Over production? Or a 2.0 version soon?
