This is a discussion on I'm looking at a Single Ten...and wondered within the Ruger Single Action forums, part of the Pistol & Revolver Forum category; The only thing I don't like are the fiber optic sights. Can these "stock" Williams fiber optic sights be replaced with the plain old Patridge ...

I'm looking at a Single Ten...and wondered

The only thing I don't like are the fiber optic sights. Can these "stock" Williams fiber optic sights be replaced with the plain old Patridge on the other models?

Any single six sights will fit. If you don't like the fiber optic, I'll swap you for a set of factory black on black sights.

I've been eyeballing the Single Ten. Just recently bought an SP101 22, but the Single 10 is still tempting.

The MkII front sight was pretty cheap from Numrich, back when I got it. That & a standard Ruger rear sight & I was golden.

Fiber optics don't work for me- they "glow" & totally blur out my sight picture.

One of my favorite guns & hasn't missed a range trip in years. Even shot a rimfire steels match with it (& a '59 Marlin 39A). lol! Fun gun & accurate.
