Yep! Now the proud owner of TWO OM 3-Screw Blackhawks 7.5" barrels in .30 Carbine - one not converted (1971) and the other has been converted (1968).

I may not UN-convert the 1968 one and re-sell it as is.

or

I may keep both.

Decisions, decisions...

So now I'm awaiting the delivery of the following four Rugers:

Now that's a scary thought!

The muzzle flash/blast must be a real sight to behold! (from a distance that is - LOL)

It's awesome looking but I'll have to pass on that...

But ya' got me thinking that some sort of project gun might be doable.

I need to check in nightly to watch your wanna list grow. I'm on my third OM 9 1/2"er and it's my go to 22 mag revolver.

I've been watching for and reading other posts about the BH in 30 carbine. Will this gun shoot the ammo made for the 30 carbine rifle or does it have to be a milder load? I noticed the regular loads are over 2K FPS. I'm very interested in this pistol/caliber combination. Is the 30 carbine available in only BH or in SBH as well. Thanks for sharing. This one made it on my wish list.

Lake City mill-surp ammo is all my OM 30 BH has known. Still has all pieces attached.

I am told by experts that the .30 caliber was/is manufactured on the Blackhawk large 44 frame, but not on the SBH frame.

I actually don't know the difference between the two.

I may have one for sale soon.

Stay tuned...

The .30 Carbine Blackhawk was brought out to take advantage of all the relatively inexpensive surplus ammo available at the time . . . "full-patch" military ammo. All had 7-1/2" barrels.

The guns are on the same frame as the Super Blackhawk, as were the .41 Magnum and the .45 Colt.. The "special" features of the Supers are the unfluted cylinder, the "wide" hammer and trigger, and the steel grip frame with square-back trigger guard. Most had 7-1/2" barrels but there were a few 6-1/2" ones, rather scarce.
