Just Purchased

Just bought this OM 3-Screw BH in .30 Carbine caliber. I can't really make out the serial number and haven't contacted the seller yet because its 2330 hours here in Nevada but I believe she was born circa 1971. I also don't know if she has been "safety-converted". I'll have more info in the next couple of days.

Should have her in hand in about 5 days, give or take...

Is this the converted one from your bucket list? It looks pretty sweet!

I can state by looking at the photo, unequivocally that it has not been converted.

Nice gun!

The conversion trigger has a pronounced bump on the back side that the return spring plunger contacts to increase the tension.

On occasion, the owner has filed off the bump because the trigger pull is so onerous, but it's rare.

Why is there no 41 Mag on the list?? You simply MUST have a 41 Mag! Then, once the collection of every OM caliber is acquired, you MUST have one of every barrel length in every caliber.
30 Carbine=Complete.

The hammer resting in the safety notch tipped me off. Conversion hammers lack this notch.

Guessing at a serial number of 50-17223, that would make it a 1971 gun, right in the middle of overall production.

I'd concur with Hondo and Bob that it has not been converted.

Great-lookin' gun and apparently a great price. Congrats.

And yes, you really do need a .41 Mag to "complete the basic set".

And a Flattop .357 Blackhawk to accompany the .44 Flattie.

And a Super Blackhawk.

If you've got ear plugs to wear under good quality ear muffs, track down some Lake City mill-surp carbine ammo. I swear it's louder than my 240gr factory 44 mag ammo.

Thanks all.

I'll give the .41 some serious thought AFTER the .45LC/.45ACP...

(the price was $450.00 shipped)
