I just happened to stop in a pawn shop...

I was at a meeting today in a part of town where I seldom go & noticed a pawn shop on the way home, so I stopped in thinking that, like many of the pawn shops around here now, they wouldn't have anything of interest. Not only did they have two full walls of guns, they also had two full display cases as well. I knew I was probably in trouble as soon as I stepped in the door. Low and behold a gun I've always wanted was there beckoning me to look at it. A 1981 single six convertible with walnut grips. The gun had a few very light handling marks and the slightest holster wear on the left side of the muzzle but almost looked unfired. They were asking $425, I offered $325 and we settled on $350. I know it's not necessarily an unusual find but I'm thrilled and have already designated this for my 2 yr old grandson when he's old enough.

Good looking Single Six and at a great price too. Your grandson is going to love shooting that with his favorite grandpa.

Good gun, great find.

Ida jumped all over that price. And I already have 2.

Congrats.

Great find. I ought to stop in at a pawn shop or two. I can't help but feel I'm missing out!

It looks like it's in great shape!

Lucky you!
I would be so pleased to live in a country / state where you can buy a revolver on the way back to your home!

Buldo.

Nice find. Something tells me many of us will be stopping by pawn shops in the next few days; can lightning strike twice?
