Deluxe Edition New Vaquero

I don't see much about this Ruger so I decided it was time to post up some photos of a fine six gun. It's not a high end (Real) engraved piece but is a great regular guy six gun you can get for a reasonable price. I hate laser engraved ones, it's a cheap attempt and looks like it. This is a better version using a CNC machine to actually cut the design into the material. Nothing beats the old school hand push engraving and I'll have to wait a few more months to get my Uberti 1872 Open Top from the Uberti Master engraving shop.

Anyway, check out Rugers version.

The cost of Rugers engraving is probably about a hundred bucks extra on each one. I paid about $900 for this Deluxe Edition from the dealer.

However, REAL hand engraving usually runs a LOT of money depending on coverage and style. My Uberti 1972 Open Top will cost me about $2500 which is average for job.

But when it's done it will always be valued very high.

Did it come with the jeweled hammer or did you do that? I've seen a couple of those but I never noticed the hammer before. Either way it's a great looking pistol. Your photography doesn't hurt either. You could take a picture of rusty old side by side shotgun and make it look good.

I especially like the Ruger logo behind the base of the hammer, plus the design on the recoil shield & loading gate. The jeweled hammer looks pretty cool too.

Nice looking revolver. Good job on the hammer. I'm looking forward to seeing the Open Top!

Looks pretty Spiffy. Have a Holster for it, yet.
I'm not much for the Engraving but, that's just me.
Being in Texas seems like it's hand in hand.

Now for a Stupid question for you.
I've been looking at 45 Colt Single Actions but, I'm not a reloader have to get the Ammo that is on the Shelfs.
Have not seen any jacketed ammo it's been all lead.
Both in Soft and Hard without knowing the powder don't really want to clean the thing after 50 Rounds.
Where do you get the Jacketed Ammo ?
Thank's

Ditto on the Hornady Critical Defense. It's widely available and not too expensive.

As far as the Holster goes, it's as Clear as Mud.
Remember seeing it a couple day's ago.
Very Talented you are.

Thank's for the Ammo tip. Will check it out.
Been looking at some Uberti's and Cimarron's.
