getting a new cylinder for a blackhawk

I have a stainless .357 blackhawk, and I am wondering if ruger would make/sell me a stainless 9mm cylinder. I remember reading once that they use to do this, have any of you done this? If so what was the cost?

Ruger Redhawk will become famous soon enough
If they will you'll have to have them fit it.They will not sell you a cylinder. I heard and if it's true or not I don't know. I heard they will only fit a aux cylinder to a gun that was originally shipped as a convertible. Ruger is bad about not selling several parts even to gunsmiths. They require factory fitting.

My understanding is that the convertibles only come with a blued finish (no stainless option), so even if you could locate a cylinder it is going to be blue (black)..

For years, the stainless .357 Blackhawks were not sold as a convertible. It has been claimed recently that they have relented on the practice of retrofitting 9mm cylinders to existing guns.

Your best bet is to call their service department and inquire.
