I recently posted the thread "Weaver (no drill) or Weigand (drill & tap) scope mount", and I have a specific question about the 310 Weaver mount.

I have read that when mounted to the 357 Blackhawk, the forward band fit loose around the barrel.

Is it an issue?
Is it something that can be shimmed, or needs to be shimmed?

I'd appreciate hearing your experiences.

Thank you,
Tim
