Anybody have one of these and care to comment on the recoil? Its a Super Blackhawk Bisley 3.75" 44 mag. Im thinking about one but would like to hear opinions first. Have a few Bisley models but none under 5.5". Thanks Ron

I have one and the Bisley grip makes all the difference. I really like mine.

I think they're really cool looking. I know Waveform had one and got rid of it.

Didn't you buy it? You usually get my rejects.

OP - I did have one and I did sell it but only because for whatever reason I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with it. Recoil was no issue so I wouldn't be concerned about that but I have a half dozen other 44 Mag revolvers and just didn't feel like trying to figure out my issues with that one. Maybe me and the Bisley grip don't get along or maybe I'm just a lousy shot but I'm one of those guys who will see something I like, buy it to try it and if it doesn't click right away I'll send it on down the road. I know a lot of folks here have been real happy with theirs so I'd say go for it.

Mine came right out of the box with the word fun written all over it,
I like bisley grips so that's a plus and recoil isn't a big deal in my opinion but I am also used to shooting 44s, if you were to shoot some heavy buffalo bore type ammo any 44 will be punishing so the rest is up to you
Good luck

Possibly tomorrow or Tuesday will purchase. Im seeing that places either have a few in stock or are waiting on manufacturer to get more. I did see that $625-650 is the best price ive found. I do like the way my other bisleys shoot and feel. Will probably be a sweet 44spl shooter to get the feel for it. Thanks. Ron

Especially if you use 200 grain or lighter bullets expect a good bit of muzzle flash. Better powder burn with heavier bullets.

I'm not really a 44mag guy even though I have a few guns chambered for it. However, this short barreled SBH Bisley has me motivated to shoot more 44mag. I really like shooting it and makes me smile every time I do. Congrats on your new purchase.

Thanks Bonk. I think it will fill the gap as I wait for a bigger version of the GP100 44spl. Plus I already have both rounds in other versions. It's just one
of those guns that suck you in!!! Mesmerizing........

Very cool picture. It would really be a show just about dusk, with a 180gr bullet and a case full of Blue Dot.

The "portable" 44M's are really not that bad. I have a M69 S&W and load for load it's not much more than my 5.5" SBH with the OEM wood grips. Grips make a big difference. When you don't want to haul a handcannon around, they bring a low of power in a handy size to your game.
