I had someone here explain to me that if the serial # is a 2 digit before the dash versus a 3 digit, it will take the higher loads. If you have 3, ask first before something bad happens

The difference in strength is most obvious when looking at the rear if the cylinders. The large frame cylinder is visibly bigger and has considerable steel between chambers. The mid-frame cylinder is smaller and rather thin between chambers. The "weakness" is less in the frame than in the cylinders.
