That's a very nice model I have a Ruger Vaquero Bisley original model 5.5 inch barrel stainless steel larger frame. I love mine great revolver the Bisley grip is the real beauty for me handles most of the stout .357 loads recoil vise on my hands. You will love it great choice!!!

Welcome to the family! I hope you enjoy shooting single-action Rugers as much as I do. A Bisley Vaquero .357 is a great gun to start with. It will enjoy a steady diet of anything you care to feed it. Hopefully inexpensive 158gr 38 Spl hits where the sights are looking. Enjoy the journey!

Nice pickup. My blackhawk 357 likes 158 grain the best of regular loads but it truly dotes on 180 grain bullets driven very fast.

Pretty revolver. Take a black marker w/ you to the range. A dab on the back of the front sight blade and another on the back face of the rear sight trough will make the sights easier to see. Have fun!

Congrats! That's a great choice. Go ahead and start making room in your safe because single action revolvers multiply very quickly. You'll have another one before you know it. Then another..........and another.........and so on. It's one of Newton's laws of physics.

So true! I have more Ruger single-actions than just the pairs of Vaqueros and Single Sixs shown in my avatar. I love them all, but I never set out to collect them. They accumulate because they offer so much shooting pleasure to go with their practicality. Six Gun Zen is real...slow, relaxed, and in the zone.
