Time to break out the sandpaper.

...Oh yea, real nice SA's all you guys!

Found a Old Model XR3-RED grip frame at the gun show yesterday, which will open up a whole lot of other options as far as grip panel choices go.

For the price of a custom made set of XR3 grips, I get the grip frame and maybe a laminated set of New Model grips...or just about anything else my little heart desires.

Just change out the NM medallions on any NM grips for a set of 50th Anniversary OM ones and I'll be good to go.

Of course I'll open up the trigger slot in the frame for my Super Blackhawk trigger, remove what little is left of the old anodizing, and polish it to a shine like the one I have on there now.

Here are my two Blackhawks:

Still unfired 50th Anniversary 44mag.

Just 3 boxes of 327 Fed Mags through this fun shooter.

See...now those are the kind of grips that I like Athanasor!

Nice SA's!

Great to know that I can now find grips like that for mine fairly easy compaired to before.

I like larger options!

Man there are some pretty guns in this thread. Right now the only Ruger SA I own is this hard used Old Vaquero, which is getting dragged around anytime I ain't at work. It don't look like much but it is a shooter... have everything on it (free-spin pawl, steel ejector housing, dead-zeroed fixed sights and a no-creep trigger) I want in a using SA. Makes for a dandy old workhorse.

Thumbs up My Ruger Single actions : )

I've got 2, both are Blackhawks and both are 50th anniversary editions. One is in 357 Magnum and the other is a 44 magnum! Love both of them, just took the 44 magnum out today for a little R&R. Nothing clears the head like the smell of gunpowder in the morning.

Last picture is one of my targets from today's shoot.
