I also saw a 38-40 / 10mm and a 32-20 / 32 H&R Mag in Tulsa. A gentleman had both with the same serial numbers and both were new in the box. He wanted $3500 for the pair. I thought he was nuts.

I have been looking for a 44 Mag / 44-40 for a few years at a reasonable price. I never see one that is shooter. All are brand new. Oh well, it gives me something to look for. LOL!

Always good to have a goal. It only took me thirty five years to own a like new Hawkeye that I could afford. Sorry I passed on a new Hawkeye closeout sale for ~$60. in 1964.

Boy, I thought I was patient.
You win!

I did some Hawkeye's at Tulsa, but I don't remember exactly what they wanted. I know they weren't cheap.

You're right, he's nuts. They can usually be found for $800 each or less, tops!

That may be but you can't register with a hotmail address because "spammers" use them? Idiotic.

same here, in Ohio , we've bought and sold them around the $$750-to $850 range all the time, heck ,last one I sold was a 3 digit gun, and it went for $850,new in the box, see 'same serial number pairs for $1500 and $1600,one guy a few show back had all three, the two Buckeye Specials and the 44/40-44 mag Williams guns from 1991 and he would have taken $200 for the 3 gun set....oh well......seems the 32-20/32 H&R mag is the hot one at least around here........'
we used to sell them here back in the 1990/91 era as we dealt with Johns Sporting Goods (Buckeye) in Canton,Ohio........

I always wanted the 10mm version when I was into 10mms.

That and the fact that my family is from Akron, in the the 1850s
from Germany.

Those engrave Buckeyes always looked so cool on the guns that i
seen in person when they first came out.

Betcha in fifteen years or so that $3500 will look like a heckuva deal.

They only (maybe) made 5202 of the .32s and 6199 of the .40s . . . and who knows how few of the "matched pairs" there are, NIB, unfired, etc.

Just sayin' folks, it all comes around, and this is a long-term hobby.
